Private AI for Law Firms

AI that lives in your office and never sends a byte to the cloud.

A self-contained AI appliance that sits on your network, learns from your own matters and documents, and answers your team’s questions — without a single prompt or file ever leaving your office.

Your duty of confidentiality doesn’t have to mean saying no to AI. It just means the AI stays in the building.

The bind every firm is in

Your team wants AI. Your duty of confidentiality says — not like this.

Attorneys and staff are already tempted to paste a contract, a deposition, or a client’s file into ChatGPT to save an hour. The moment they do, privileged material has left your network and landed on a third party’s servers — and you may have a very uncomfortable conversation ahead with the client or the bar.

The cloud vendors’ answer is “trust our contract and our policy.” For a law firm, “trust the vendor” is a hard thing to promise a client whose confidential matter is on the line.

Medical practices, accounting firms, and other regulated offices feel the same pull — and the same solution fits them too.

A private AI appliance that lives in your office

Not a cloud account with a privacy promise. A physical box on your network — the difference between “trust us” and “look in the closet, there it is.”

🖥️

A dedicated box on your network

Quiet, low-power, fits under a desk — no server room or rack required. It runs the AI itself, right there in your office.

📁

Trained on your own documents

We load your matters, contracts, templates, and policies so the AI answers from your firm's actual work — not the open internet.

🔒

Nothing leaves your network

The model runs locally. Prompts, documents, and answers never touch OpenAI, Anthropic, or any outside server. No API calls leave the building.

🔑

You own the hardware

You buy the box at cost — no per-seat cloud subscription, no vendor holding your data hostage, no surprise price hikes.

What’s included

We handle the whole thing — from setup to ongoing support. You don’t need an IT department.

🚚

One-time setup & install

We come on-site, set it up, and get your team using it — usually within a day or two.

  • Deliver, place, and configure the hardware
  • Network & security setup on your premises
  • Connect your Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 logins
  • Ingest your documents so the AI knows your matters
  • Two staff training sessions (recorded for re-watch)
  • Plain-English handover documentation
🛠️

Ongoing managed service

We keep it running, patched, and improving — so it’s never your problem to maintain.

  • Remote monitoring (only with your explicit consent)
  • Monthly software and AI model updates
  • Security patches as they’re released
  • Helpdesk for your staff, same-day callback for outages
  • Quarterly on-site tune-up & document refresh

Spotlight — Law Firms

What your firm can do with an AI it can actually trust

Because the appliance knows your matters and nothing leaves the network, your team can finally use AI on the work that matters most — the confidential work it was always too risky to paste into a chatbot.

Summarize a new case file the moment it lands
Draft demand letters, engagement letters, and routine correspondence
Search across every matter in plain English
First-pass contract and document review
Turn intake notes into structured client records
Answer staff questions from your own policies and templates

Why on-premise beats the cloud here

It turns the AI risk conversation from a policy question into a physical fact.

Cloud AI
  • Your data leaves the building and sits on a vendor’s servers
  • Confidentiality rests on a contract and a policy you have to trust
  • A recurring per-seat subscription that climbs as you grow
  • An ongoing compliance question you have to keep answering
Your private appliance
  • The data never leaves — it’s a box in your closet
  • Confidentiality is a physical fact, not a promise
  • You own the hardware — no per-seat cloud bill
  • “Look in the closet, there it is” ends the conversation

Questions

Is it really private?

Yes. The AI model runs locally on hardware in your office. Your prompts, your documents, and the AI's answers never leave your network — there are no API calls to OpenAI, Anthropic, or anyone else.

Do we own the hardware?

Yes. You buy the box (we pass it through at cost), so there's no leasing and no vendor holding your data hostage. The managed service is a separate, predictable monthly fee.

Is it as capable as ChatGPT?

It runs strong open models locally. For everyday confidential work — drafting, summarizing, searching your own documents — it's more than capable, and the privacy tradeoff is usually well worth it. We'll be honest on the call about where it shines and where it doesn't.

Do we need an IT person to run it?

No. We install it, manage it, patch it, and support your staff. That's the whole point of the managed service — it's never your problem to maintain.

What if it breaks?

Monitoring (with your consent) catches most issues before you notice. If something does go down, our helpdesk gets a same-day phone callback and we resolve it remotely or on-site.

What happens to our data if the appliance fails, is lost, or stolen?

It's backed up — encrypted — to a second drive in your office, and optionally to an off-site location you control. The key detail: backups are encrypted on the appliance before they ever leave it, so even an off-site copy is unreadable without your key. Nothing private ever sits in a form anyone else can read. And because most of your source documents already live in your existing systems, we can set up a replacement box and re-load everything — usually within a day or two of a hardware failure.

What does it cost?

It depends on your firm's size and how many documents you want it to know. There's a one-time setup fee plus a flat monthly managed-service fee. Book a call and we'll give you exact numbers for your situation — no pressure.
